Sand Additives
We offer a variety of sand additives that improve the performance of moulding and core sands. These additives enhance properties such as strength, thermal stability, and flowability, ensuring the best possible results in casting processes.
Overview
VeinSeal is an inorganic anti-veining additive engineered from high-quality feldspathic materials. Designed for use in silica sand systems, VeinSeal effectively minimizes veining defects during the casting process—making it ideal for the production of complex moulds and cores where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical.
How it works
During casting, quarts san d undergoes expansion at around 573 degrees celcius, which can cause veining or cracking in the core. Veinseal counteacts this effect by absorbing the thermal expansion stress, allowing sand cores to retain their original shape and integrity throughout the metal pouring process.
The recommended addition rate of VeinSeal typically ranges between 10% and 40%, depending on the base sand type, core geometry and specific casting requirements.
Why Choose VeinSeal?
-
Reduces veining and metal penetration
-
Enhances surface finish and dimensional stability
-
Suitable for both ferrous and non-ferrous castings
-
Consistent quality and easy integration into existing sand systems
